Greeting Initiate. Your patience since the release of Ninth Edition has been rewarded. This week marks the start of preorders for the newest Space Marine releases at CMO Games. Let’s go over the available offerings.
Codex – Space Marines
Start with Codex: Space Marines. The Codex contains all the rules background, Strategems, expanded Crusade rules for each of the First Founding Chapters as well as the Deathwatch. With 98 datasheets, you’ll have the rules for every current unit at your fingertips and the ones Games Workshop manufactures in the future.
Datacards – Space Marines
Need yourself a set of quick reference cheat sheets? The Datacards are here to jumpstart your campaign. This 61-card pack contains condensed copies of all the Space Marine Strategems, psychic powers, and Litanies of Battle. Don’t forget which powers are buried in your Battlescribe list any more!
Space Marine Primaris Invader ATV
Since early in the Ninth Edition previews, the Invader ATV sparked interest as a potential Attack Bike replacement. Well, we now know they are much more than that. With up to three models in a unit this speedy (14″ Move), tanky (T5 & W8) little killer makes a unforgiving harasser. Armed with 2-shot Multi-Meltas or 8-shot Onslaught Gatling Cannon, they’re poised to chew through Vehicles and Infantry alike.
Space Marine Primaris Chaplain on Bike
Hard hitting on their own, Chaplains also preform an important support function for the assault units in your army. What better way to keep up with Outriders, Invaders, Assault Marines, and transported squads than on his very own bike? Not only does the Chaplain gain greatly increased mobility, but like most bikers her gains extra wounds, 2 in this case.
Space Marines Primaris Firestrike Servo-Turret
Like the ATV, the Firestrike Servo-Turret generated intense interest with an early preview. The Firestike trades mobility for rugged construction (T5 & Sv 2+) and accuracy with a Ballistic Skill of 2+. Available in units of up to three, place them in your backfield with good sight lines on objectives and rapidly clear off enemy units. Twin accelerator cannons with 6-shots will eliminate infantry units. Arm them with Twin las-talons for countering vehicles.
Getting Started With Warhammer 40,000
We all have a friend we’d like to get into the hobby. Gift them a copy of Getting Started with Warhammer 40,000. The magazine comes packed cover-to-cover with basics of collecting, building, and painting an army. If that isn’t enough, you can help them with their very first two models; an Assault Intercessor and a Necron Warrior.
