Death Guard, Remorseless and Resilient.

Games Workshop plows along with additional Death Guard updates this week. Today, we’re looking at Remorseless and Disgustingly Resilient.

Remorseless

Death Guard Remorseless rule text

Remorseless is an ability found on all your core infantry units from the standard Plague Marine to Possessed and Terminators. Given these are expensive, resilient, multi-wound models, the loss of them to anything other than direct combat can undo the best of battleplans. In 9th Ed, however, they’ll hold together better, even when below half strength.

Disgustingly Resilient

Death Guard Disgustingly Resilient rule text

A signature rule for the Death Guard, Disgustingly Resilient now reduces incoming Damage from heavier weapons. Any weapon dealing 2+ Damage now inflicts 1 less. Not only do your core infantry units, but also Daemon Engines and Mortarion benefit from it. Since all these units are at least Toughness 5 and have multiple wounds traditional anti-marine weapons, such as supercharged plasma, aren’t sure fire killers anymore.
