August has always been the month for big Dungeons & Dragons releases. Despite the problems 2020 has thrown are way, it still is a very big month for the Dragon.
Earlier in August, we were blinded by the Sapphire Dragon. Standing more than 6 1/4 inches tall upon its rocky perch, this premium figure dominates the table-top. The beast’s body reflects the light in a glittering display of magic. Meanwhile, the finely detailed wings show dark patterns of vessels through the translucent pale blue membranes.
On Wednesday, August 26th, a second great monster arrives; the Adult White Dragon. Another fully painted premium figure, the White Dragon reaches over 6 and 3/4 inches from the tips of its up-swept wings to the base. Belying its age, the White Dragon isn’t a pure white, but a mottled combination of greens and worn grays over an intricately sculpted hide. All the better to hide it among the old ice. The sculptor has caught it mid-strike; wings swept back and maw agape.
