Planets of Peril Booster Packs

The blind-buy boosters for Planets of Peril contain 3 prepainted, detailed miniatures randomly drawn from a set of 32 figures. Expected retail pricing for an 8 count booster brick is $119.92 or $14.99 a booster. Retail pricing this far out from a release may be subject to change. However, we’ve not experienced such changes from Wizkids in the past.

Wizkids other D&D and Pathfinder blind buy boosters contain 4 figures, so the pack has been downsized. The change to 3 figures per booster may be part of an effort to keep prices down, particularly for a set containing large figures, or reflect lower expected sales.

Wizkids supplied the following hi-res renders as part of their solicitation.

Planets of Peril Docking Bay Premium Set

The Planets of Peril Docking Bay Premium Set contains 11 miniatures including a cargo vehicle with trailer, assorted shipping containers, and a hi-tech bench. While designed for Starfinder, the miniatures appear well suited to any other hi-tech RPG or miniatures game. The announced retail price for the Docking Bay is $59.99

Wizkids has been hitting it out of the park with their premium figures. Just look at the Dragons of August article and the upcoming release of D&D Icons of the Realms – Arveiaturace. We’re looking forward to seeing how they improve with their Starfinder line.

CMO Games will being soliciting preorders closer to the release date of Planets of Peril. Until then, thanks for stopping by and enjoy the preview!
