Games Workshop told us the bad news earlier in December, new releases are being delayed. What they didn’t share was how big some of them would be. Two long awaited models debut alongside one another in a new Warhammer 40,000 battlebox; Piety and Pain.
While Games Workshop plays release dates close to the chest, I would expect Piety and Pain to appear for preorders on January 16th. However, with the new fortnight schedule, it might not show until January 30th. Either way, we won’t have long to wait.
On the side of Piety, we start with the long desired Palatine model. She leads a small cohort of heavily armed Retributors. In support, we find an Immolator carrying your choice of twin heavy flamers, heavy bolters, or multi-meltas.
For the Pain side of the title, behold the wrath of Lelith Hesperax. She leads a mixed group of Drukhari including Scourges, Wyches, and a fast moving Venom.
