Set your clocks for the AM this Saturday, August 22nd, because Shadow, Iron, & Broken Realms is the theme for this week’s Warhammer Online Preview. Games Workshop will be teasing us with new models, releases, and a ton of cool stuff for Warhammer 40,000, Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, The Horus Heresy, Warcry, Necromunda, and Underworlds.

Shadow, Iron, & Broken Realms
With these themes, what do you think will show up? I hope we’ll hear more about the Khaine Shadowstalkers for Warcry (you’ll need to scroll down a bit), I expect Games Workshop will tease the Orlocks aka the House of Iron for Quarter 4. However, those are obvious choices. Maybe we’ll see a total rework of Dark Aelves in the vein of Lumineth Realm-Lords. Malekith can’t just follow his mother.
The phrase Broken Realms is wide open. The likeliest reference is to Age of Sigmar. Soul Wars wrecked major havoc in the Mortal Realms. Cough, Nagash’s fault, cough. I could see a teaser about the Realms splintering under the stress.
Broken Realms could also be a sly reference to the Realm of Ultramar. Could Mortarion be up for another venture into his brother’s territory? Or, more directly to the Horus Heresy? So many possibilities.
We’ll know some answers and have many more questions after watching the Warhammer Online Preview.
