On Saturday, November 21, 2020, Games Workshop live-streamed Decadence & Decay. The broadcast on Twitch unveiled many books and models for the new year. Join us for this sort overview!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warhammer 40,000<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

To begin we’ll drop out of the warp into Warhammer 40,000. The narrative focus of the storyline shifts to War Zone Charadon chronicling the battles in and around Forge World Metalica. Typhus and the Death Guard look to conquer the Forge World in Nurgle’s name. War Zone Charadon, Act 1: The Book of Rust<\/strong>, includes additional rules for the Death Guard, Adeptus Mechanicus, Imperial Knights, and Drukhari<\/em>. In addition, Crusade Mission Pack – Plaque Purge<\/strong> provides players with specific missions set within the war zone. The mission pack includes missions and upgrades for everyone, not just the four listed above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

While the war zone contains a full amount of decay, the newest Xenos Codex fills our appetite for decadence. That’s right, Codex Drukhari<\/strong> releases in January. The codex upgrades the raiders of Commorragh for 9th edition with improved attacks, damage, and reliable combat capability. Also, their special rules permit the design of realspace raiding forces, mixing the various factions of Drukhari, without Command Point penalties.

Codex Dark Angels<\/strong> represents the Imperium this January. Like the previous Space Marine releases, this is a Codex supplement and requires Codex Space Marines to use. Ravenwing units become faster and deadlier in assault. Deathwing initiates units from the main book including Dreadnoughts. Plus a range of Stratagems and Relics assist your endless hunt for the Fallen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Necromunda<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Let’s take our eyes off the big picture. Time to dial down to the small-scale struggles occurring on Necromunda. Open up the House of Artiface<\/strong> to build your next Van Saar gang. In addition to the game specific strategies, lore, and technology, Van Saar brings two new fighters to your table. The new boxed models range from Archeoteks, masters of House technologies, to the Neoteks, fast moving grave-cutter pilots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warhammer – Age of Sigmar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Turn away from the far flung reaches of Warhammer 40,000 and journey again to the Mortal Realms. Here, decadence has never looked so good.

Sigvald the Magnificent returns from the World That Was as a Prince of Chaos. Clad intricate golden armor with flowing blonde locks he appears as a wonderous hero. On closer look, one finds the many sigils of Slaanesh, the eight-pointed shield, and the horns aren’t representative of the Lumineth. And then there is the twisted face looking down upon everyone with distain. GW’s holding onto his rules and stats for a later reveal, but we know they’ll be nothing less than magnificent!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accompanying Sigvalt’s return are two new Hedonites of Slaanesh units. Both the Myrmidesh Painbrings and Symbaresh Twinsouls arrive clad in heroic golden armor, but the signs of Chaos are stronger on them both. Painbringers wield sword and board while the Twinsouls carry heavier weapons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warhammer Underworlds<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Kharga’s Ravagers will be the first expansion for Warhammer Underworlds – Direchasm. Games Workshop revealed little more about them other than the two center characters are sisters, wizard and warriors leader. In gameplay, they are able to desecrate objectives which turns them off for the other teams. Oops!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Middle Earth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And the last reveal, a new Treebeard sculpt in plastic to lead your March of the Ents. Treebeard ships with both Merry and Pippen. Each hobbit has two models in this kit, one on foot and the other sculpted to cling to Treebeard’s branches.

In addition having a mighty stat-line, Treebeard may grab enemy models and use them as improvised clubs. Ouch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
