Back in September, Games Workshop’s Codex Show<\/a> disclosed the next four codex releases. Today, Warhammer Community<\/a> gave us a Codex Roadmap to show when they will be arriving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Confirmed Codex Roadmap Releases<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

While lacking exact dates, we know we’ll be seeing Space Wolves and Deathwatch dropping in November. Games Workshop has decided to use Codex Supplements, rather than a full Codex, for Space Marines going forward. You’ll need a copy of Codex: Space Marines to get full use out of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A whole lot of power armor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Following closely in December are Blood Angels and Death Guard. Like their brethren in November Blood Angels get the supplement treatment. However, Death Guard will be the third full-length Codex released for the current edition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time, I have not received any news of model releases to accompany these books. I’ll be sure to pass on any previews once they’ve been confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

January Codex Speculation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The New Year brings us two more books. While the titles have been redacted, you’d think the cover art had some clues. Enlarge, right-hand! Definitely something Imperial in the upper left and just, ewwww, skulls and plugs and red in the lower right. I’d almost say that was a genestealer skull plugged into something, but…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The art a looks familiar. Where have I seen it before? My Core Book you say? Yes, well played GW. Well played indeed. Both sets of “cover art” are close-ups of the full page art from the Core Book. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do know from other teasers that Games Workshop has dropped that Dark Angels are scheduled for early 2021. I would expect GW to want to get the main Space Marine Chapters out of the way first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Xenos Codex was also promised for the January slot, but we haven’t been told which. Orks and Drukhari are high on the speculation list. Games Workshop teased a potential new Lelith Hesperax model and what was unmistakably an Ork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I hope we get another Codex Roadmap in early 2021. A fast pace for Codex releases means all armies get into their Ninth Edition groove faster.
